This is a spacious, stylish, immaculately presented 1-bedroom apartment, on the third floor of a Victorian stucco building, located in the heart of the desirable West end of Folkestone in Bouverie Village.
On entering your flat in Manstone House you will find contemporary, sociable, open plan kitchen and lounge/diner. The kitchen has an integral dishwasher, fridge, microwave and built in cooker and hob. The lounge area has a modern sofa, comfy armchair with leg rest, dining table and chairs and a 42” wall mounted smart TV. Door in lounge takes you to private mini terrace with chairs and table to relax in fresh air. The double bedroom has a king-size bed with luxury mattress, wardrobe, dressing table, and a second wall mounted 42” smart TV. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. A neat utility area houses a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Folkestones' Bouverie village was historically a residential area during the Edwardian and Victorian era, but has evolved into a unique enclave of small businesses offering a micro pub, a wide range of eateries, hairdressers, an antique shop, and a Tesco metro. The apartment is minutes away from The Leas famous cliff top Promenade, with its stunning views across the Channel to France. It is a 5 minute stroll to The Lower Leas Coastal Park, the town centre, and the beach.

• No parties or events
• Quiet hours must be observed between 10pm - 7am
• Bathroom towels should NOT be removed from the apartment. (Beach towels can be supplied at an additional cost).
• Please use the designated make up pads/cloth and complementary Micellar water to remove make-up/fake tan. (Make-up stained white towels and bedding will be charged at £5 per item).
• Please DO NOT wash the towels provided. If you require a fresh set contact us to arrange.
• Please DO NOT feed the seagulls.
• Please DO NOT light candles in the building. There is a call-out fee of £60 to reset the smoke alarm system.
Access to the property is by key kept in a lockbox at the front door. Please note that there is no direct parking available near the property. Further down the road there is free on street parking available on a first come first served basis. The same is true in adjacent streets if you arrive at a busy time. Unless you intend to leave the town, you can walk to almost every part of Folkestone along the numerous scenic routes.

Please note, for our guests comfort, any stay longer than 7 days will be required to have a mid-stay apartment clean, change of bedding, towels & tea towels. There will be an additional charge of £45 for this service.

April 2024We had such a relaxing stay here! We wanted to visit Folkestone for a mini stay-cation for our anniversary and this place was perfect. Walking distance from the beach, harbour, grocery stores, town centre and places to eat out. The check-in was smooth sailing as the instructions were perfect. A couple of nags that I have (although not a massive deal and didn’t ruin the quality of our stay) that are worth saying: there was no cleaning spray to wipe down the sides after cooking etc, the instructions for heating in the manual is not accurate for this flat as it has under floor heating and the noise from the flats above is quite loud but this is expected. Overall, would stay again! :)

The apartment looks just like the photos and has everything you need. Didn’t notice the noise upstairs. Great location, walking distance to station, beach, shops, restaurants.

August 2023The location was great - an easy walk to the train station, town or beach with some nice spots to eat or drink nearby. This was a compact but well put together basement flat with everything you could need for a weekend away. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and sofa was comfortable. The bedroom, while not spacious, was comfy. A note for light sleepers that this is the basement of a block of flats, so there is a fair amount of noise from people moving about upstairs.

July 2023The apartment is beautiful: outstanding kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Nice bed with crisp sheets. Really appreciated the hamper when we got there. The Blue Bridge office is right next to the apartment which was great for questions etc. Excellent value for money and the staff can't do enough for you. I'd love to come back one day. Tip: have dinner at the Turkish Cuisine restaurant around the corner!

June 2023A nice apartment and it was just what we needed for our trip to Folkestone. Everything in the apartment was exactly as described. It was a very relaxing environment in the apartment. My only small negative is that the bedroom is underneath the hallway into the building so there's quite a lot of noise from people walking if they come in late (which unfortunately did happen when we were there). We are used to a very quiet house so this possibly wouldn't affect other people.

Wonderful small apartment. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Comfortable large bed. Sitting are with large TV. Outside patio. Well suited for longer stays. Close to restaurants and 5 minutes walk from the Central Station. Would definitely recommend.

July 2022Thank you for a lovely stay - great accommodation in a central location, the beach is within reasonable distance and check in was very straight forward. It was clean and there was a lot of attention to detail, with toiletries, towels and snacks provided. The host was very helpful and communication was great. There are other apartments in the building and noise was a bit of an issue for us. There are clear house rules in place to manage this, and the host was very attentive in their response to this so it wouldn’t prevent us from staying again but is something to bare in mind for sensitive sleepers.

April 2022We had such a lovely stay and the little touches in the flat were so thoughtful and sweet! The attention to detail was great and pretty much everything was thought of, the kitchen had all the equipment we could need and the space was really clean. The flat is down a staircase so wouldn't be good for wheelchair users etc. The walk into town along the sea was lovely, and there were nice places nearby to eat and drink! The Bouverie Tap and Massimo's La Casa de Bellogelato were definitely worth a visit! Overall a lovely stay and we'd be more han happy to stay here again in the future.
